Built for cozy couples’ stays with full kitchens, generous three-piece baths, covered patios, and all-electric systems. They deliver a boutique-hotel experience in a compact footprint.

How It Started:
The owners reached out from Revelstoke looking to complete their lodging plan. They’d already placed four rental cabins on the property over the past couple of years and were zoned for two more to round out the site.
They were candid about being hesitant. A previous experience with a “prefab” kit (more parts than product) meant they had to handle assembly and headaches on-site, and it didn’t go well. Our approach is different: fully pre-built units that arrive finished and ready to connect. To help them feel confident, they visited our shop for a tour, walked through current builds, and talked through how delivery and setup would work.
At that point we didn’t have the exact layout they envisioned, so we co-designed a new model together. Tailored to their guest experience and property. The result became our Slope Cabin: a ground-level, loft-free design focused on comfort for two, clean lines, and mountain-view glazing. The collaboration was relaxed, iterative, and fun. And it produced exactly what they needed.
The Build:
Because the design called for intimate, couples-only rentals (no extra sleeping loft, no cramming four people in), we landed on a 13’ × 26’ footprint with a 4’ covered patio. There’s room for a small BBQ on one side of the entry and two seats on the other. Perfect for that first coffee or an evening wind-down, rain or shine.
Inside, each cabin is spec’d like a high-end boutique hotel room:

Full three-piece bath: a 3’ × 5’ walk-in shower, 24″ vanity, and toilet—surprisingly generous for the overall size.

Complete kitchen: 24″ range, 24″ microwave + hood, 24″ fridge, and 18″ dishwasher—everything guests need for real meals, not just snacks.

Large picture windows aimed at the mountain views, bringing in light and a sense of space.
For safety and simplicity, the clients wanted an all-electric setup. No gas lines, no open-flame appliances, and an easy, consistent guest experience. Hookup is straightforward, operation is intuitive, and maintenance is simple for the team that manages turnovers.
The Installation:
The plan was to land both units in a single day. Given the tight site, we committed to the two-truck route so we could stage and crane as efficiently as possible.
The first turn into the driveway was our initial worry but it turned out fine. The challenge showed up inside the property: limited space to pull ahead and swing the rigs into position for a clean back-in. After a few attempts and some careful coordination, we hooked the crane to lift and shift the trailer just enough to make the corner and set up safely.
With the crane in place and ground conditions stable, we moved quickly getting the units onto the screw piles. There were low branches near the placement area, so we did selective trimming beforehand and during the lifts (with owner approval) to protect both the trees and the cabins. It added a bit of time, but the payoff was worth it. Both cabins landed the same day, and ready for final connections.
